Luminosity, transparency and neo-organic forms: the new Headquarters of Snam Rete Gas focuses on architecturecommunication, a powerful landmark on an urban scale. The interiors feature reception spaces, whose distinctive features are curved walls connected to stylistically different surfaces, an interplay of geometric contrasts making this a highly symbolic design for a leading firm in the energysupply sector.
Great attention has been devoted to the layout of all the reception spaces and facilities by drawing on the accentuated linearity of the borderline with the floor. A similar system has been applied along the dividing walls, which in this way appear to be suspended in the air, creating a sort of immaterial space.
The council room, which is the heart of the new headquarters, has an elliptical layout and furnishing capable of injecting the setting with stylistic sobriety and elegance. Finishing features and materials follow the same logic, focusing on a kind of sobriety which, while on one hand aimed at symbolising transparent intentions, is also synonymous with quality serving its own target group.
Panels made of light maple wood cover most of the walls and play on the contrast in relations with the luminosity of the glass walls made of backenamelled sheets of frosted glass.
This is a combination of different but complementary materials forming a whole characterised by a harmonious balance of forms and atmospheres in line with the branding values the firm wants to provide for its users.
