Progetto CMR carried out a high technology building complex for the Monza site that boasts production, Cisco R&D photonic laboratories, customer zones and offices.
The investment with a high technological content provided for a thorough restructuring project, planning and plant engineering definition for the transformation of an industrial site able to accommodate 1.000 employees. The offices are articulated into open spaces, focus rooms, interaction zones and a minimum quota of closed offices.
The laboratories, a particular aspect of the project, are glazed islands so as to guarantee the flexibility, visibility and transparency of the technological processes. “Move people not furniture” was the basic concept for the intensive open-space planning.
