BeiQijia Town represents a new model of energetically self-sufficient ecological city thanks to the use of renewable (solar energy) and green (biomass and geothermal) energy. All the conceptual choices have been driven by sustainability criteria, starting from the innovative public transport system designed to reduce emissions. The city offers the population a wide range of public services that guarantee a high quality of life; the architectures envisage the use of green roofs, vegetation and water coverage to reduce the urban heat island effect; finally, a functional and efficient connection was established with the existing city.
