The renovation and expansion project of Camping Village Pappasole, located along the Costa degli Etruschi in the municipality of Piombino (Livorno), covers an area of over 190,000 sqm and introduces a phased masterplan aimed at enhancing the open-air tourism offer, while ensuring the continuous operation of the facility..

The masterplan redesigns the existing layout through an integrated system of functions and public spaces, structured around a new cycle-pedestrian axis running parallel to the sea. This spine connects the main areas of the campsite — food & retail, events, sports, pools, and the kids area — into a continuous and accessible system.

The intervention by Progetto CMR includes new public squares, an amphitheatre, and a comprehensive reorganisation of circulation paths and open spaces, with the aim of strengthening the quality and identity of the collective realm.

A key element of the project is the pool system, composed of different basins with specific functions and inclusive solutions, together with the new Kids Area, immersed in greenery and designed as a flexible recreational and educational space.

The project defines a coherent architectural language integrated into the landscape, through low-rise volumes, natural materials, and a strong relationship with the Tuscan coastal context, with the goal of enhancing the visitor experience and reinforcing the identity of the camping village.
