ProgettoCMR at Architects Meet in Lecce

Date 15 October 2025

Categories News|events

Architects Meet in Lecce returns to Lecce from October 16th to 18th. Now in its 14th edition, this year’s theme is “RE-Frame. Bodies, Lands, Architectures,” focusing on the need to redefine the role of architecture. Meetings, exhibitions, conferences, roundtables, and workshops will bring together architects, urban planners, designers, scholars, and institutions to discuss how to “re-fragment” our relationship with space, bringing together three key protagonists: the bodies that inhabit and measure environments, the lands understood as living matter and landscape, and architecture as an example of possible utopias.

Massimo Roj among the speakers at the debate on AI, ethics, and aesthetics

On Friday the 17th, starting at 2:30 pm, the round table “Artificial Intelligence: Ethical and Aesthetic Implications” will take place at the Convitto Palmieri. Architect Roj will engage with the other speakers, starting with the event’s leitmotif: in a world where too much has been built, architecture’s task is increasingly to recover, modify, improve, and interpret what already exists.
Reframing the framework through which we interact with the reality around us.

Camera. A dialogue between architecture and AI

The starting point is the essential assumption that the origin of every project is never merely technical, but arises from listening to the context, nature, and above all, people. Architecture is a profoundly human process, founded on intuition, empathy, and vision. Artificial intelligence remains at the service of human creativity: it cannot replace it, but rather becomes its ally. An advanced method of design support; a set of tools and processes capable of processing large amounts of data with ever greater precision and efficiency. From the dialogue between artificial intelligence and human sensitivity, Camera was born, a microarchitecture that is both a refuge and an experimental laboratory. Its shape, inspired by a photographic lens, is more than just an aesthetic: it is a lens that captures, amplifies, and reflects the surrounding natural beauty. It is not just an object to be observed, but a tool through which to view the world. In an age where everything is filtered by screens and digital lenses, CAMERA invites us to contemplate, to slow down, to rediscover silence and connection with nature.
