Progetto CMR has secured a prestigious double recognition at the 2025 Ethical Award, promoted by the Plana Association and held at the ADI Design Museum in Milan. These awards celebrate excellence in design ethics and social responsibility.

Ethics in Social and Labor: the Camardella Bivouac, an energy-self-sufficient alpine micro-architecture

In the Ethics in Social and Labor category, Progetto CMR was honored for the Camardella Bivouac.

This micro-architecture, built in memory of the young ski instructor Edoardo Camardella, is an exceptional example of sustainable design at high altitude. It is the first structure of its kind in La Thuile (Aosta) to exceed 3,000 meters. The bivouac is a light, resilient structure, constructed entirely with eco-sustainable materials and designed for high energy efficiency.

In addition to offering refuge for six people simultaneously, the structure houses the highest weather station in the Graian Alps. This station collects crucial data for monitoring climate change and provides real-time information essential for mountain safety.

Grand Ethical Design: Yo, a collection of versatile and sustainable seating

The second recognition was awarded in the Grand Ethical Design category for the Yo seating collection, designed by Progetto CMR and manufactured by Frezza. This award is reserved for projects that excel in material sustainability, formal quality, and social responsibility. Yo is a versatile collection of chairs and stools designed for public, domestic, and work spaces, distinguished by its ergonomics and fluid lines.

“The theme of the 2025 edition, which focuses attention on the territory as an integrated heritage, resonates with our work method based on integrated design, where the disciplines of architecture, engineering, and design are in synergy to conceive and realize projects with high value, placing the person and their needs at the center of the creative process.”Arch. Massimo Roj, Co-Founder and CEO of Progetto CMR.
