Progetto CMR and MANTERO ASSOCIATI design Findomestic’s new headquarters in Novoli, bringing together architecture, sustainability and people’s wellbeing.
On 2 October 2026, Giglio, Findomestic’s new headquarters in Florence, was officially inaugurated. Designed by Progetto CMR and MANTERO ASSOCIATI, the complex is located in the Novoli district, on the site of a former FIAT industrial area, and brings Findomestic’s Florence-based community together under one roof, creating a new hub for work, collaboration and wellbeing.
With approximately 30,000 sqm of total floor area, spread over five levels, 1,300 workstations and more than 4,000 sqm of landscaped green spaces, Giglio interprets the workplace as an open and integrated system, connecting architecture, nature and everyday life.
Architecture between city and nature
The project is based on the ambition to establish a new balance between people, city and nature. The façade facing the city is compact and protects the interior spaces from traffic and urban noise, while a large opening leads towards the internal green courtyard, visually connected to Novoli Park.
Inside, the architecture opens up to daylight and the surrounding landscape through glazed surfaces, balconies and connections between the different building volumes, strengthening the relationship between the workplace and nature.
The green courtyard becomes the heart of the complex: a space for interaction and meeting that contributes to a new way of experiencing the contemporary workplace.
Spaces designed for new ways of working
The spatial configuration has been developed to support new working and collaboration models, promoting flexibility and interaction.
The complex includes 77 meeting rooms equipped with videoconferencing systems, a training centre with 6 reconfigurable rooms and 70 seats, an auditorium with more than 200 seats, and a coworking space divided into three areas with a total of 50 seats.
These functions are complemented by a range of services dedicated to wellbeing and everyday quality of life, including a company restaurant, gym, medical centre and services supporting employees’ daily needs, as well as a partner nursery adjacent to the headquarters.
Sustainability and LEED Platinum certification
Sustainability is one of the key pillars of the project. Giglio has achieved LEED Platinum certification with a score of 84 points, the highest level available under the certification system.
The project integrates a range of strategies aimed at reducing environmental impact and improving building performance, including renewable energy sources, rooftop photovoltaic generation, enhanced envelope and systems efficiency, stormwater management, reduced water consumption and energy monitoring.
Particular attention has also been paid to low-emission materials, construction waste recovery, indoor air quality, natural daylight and occupant comfort.
Contributing to the regeneration of Novoli
Located within the former FIAT industrial area of Novoli, Giglio contributes to the urban regeneration of the district, strengthening the relationship between the new complex and its surrounding context.
Its proximity to public transport, dedicated cycling infrastructure and facilities for low-emission vehicles help reduce the impact of the development on the urban environment.
The new Findomestic headquarters is therefore more than a corporate workplace: it is an architecture designed to stand the test of time, bringing together work, people, nature and the city.
As Massimo Roj, CEO and Founding Partner of Progetto CMR, explains, the project is based on a clear and recognisable architectural concept, with a compact urban façade opening towards a green courtyard that becomes the heart of the building and contributes to the regeneration of Novoli.
