A high technology complex for its Monza site housing production Cisco R&D photonic laboratories, customer zones and offices. The investment with a high technological content provided for a thorough restructuring project, planning and plant engineering definition the transformation of an industrial site able to accommodate 1,000 employees.
Developed over three different phases, the project was carried out in two years. The offices are articulated into open spaces, focus rooms, interaction zones and a minimum quota of closed offices. The applied concept of "fix flex" lo the office planning transmits the idea of a space that can be managed into the future. The laboratories, a special aspect, are glazed islands so as lo guarantee the flexibility, visibility and transparency of the technological processes.

INTEGRATION

The Cisco Photonics centre in Monza was realised thanks to the consultation of Progetto CMR throughout a complete course of operations: definition of requirements, surveys of the buildings detailed planning, preliminary civil, plant engineering and the executive planning, and works supervision.

PROCESS

This consultation was carried out over a two-year time frame; the delivery of the 25,000 square metres, distributed between offices and laboratories, occurred at the end of 2001.
